Day
1 - London - Salisbury - Stonehenge - Bath - Bristol
An exciting day awaits us. First we visit Salisbury to see the Gothic Cathedral. Then we continue to the mysterious monolithic stone circle at Stonehenge, a renowned World Heritage site, which we visit together. From here we drive to the glorious city of Bath where we admire the graceful terraces and visit the baths dating from Roman times before continuing to our Bristol hotel. Tonight we will enjoy a Welcome Drink before dinner in our hotel - the perfect opportunity to really get to know our new fellow travellers and our Tour Director. ( Dinner ) Hotel: Marriott City Centre

Day 2 -
Bristol - Chester - Lake District
This morning we travel northwards to the fine city of Chester, where we see the Roman Walls, the Tudor architecture and the galleried shops known as the 'Rows'. Later we continue to our hotel in the beautiful Lake District, renowned for its magnificent scenery. ( Full Breakfast / Dinner )

Day 3 -
Lake
District - Gretna Green - Edinburgh ( 2 nights )
Admire the wonderful views
which inspired the poet William Wordsworth to write the renowned
‘Daffodils’ and our Tour Director shows us where he lived in Grasmere at Dove Cottage. Later we arrive at the Scottish border at Gretna Green, where traditionally young couples would elope against their parents' wishes in order to marry in a ceremony performed across the blacksmith's anvil. Then on to the Scottish capital Edinburgh where we stay for two nights.

Day 4 -
Edinburgh Sightseeing and At Leisure
After breakfast our morning
sightseeing tour with a local guide includes the elegant New
Town, Princes Street, the Royal Mile, views of Holyrood House
and Arthur’s seat and a guided visit of the apartments inside
Edinburgh Castle. The rest of your day is at leisure to explore
this fascinating city. Tonight maybe sample some Scottish
cuisine at one of the city’s many restaurants? ( Full
Breakfast )

Day 5 -
Edinburgh - York
We travel across the Scottish borders to see
the ruins of Jedburgh Abbey. Then through the Northumberland
National Park to the Viking City of York, where our Tour
Director shows us the ‘Shambles’ and magnificent York Minster.
Tonight, we enjoy a 'Be My Guest' Farewell Dinner together to celebrate the end of our tour! ( Full Breakfast / Farewell Dinner ) Hotel: Holiday Inn York

Day 6 -
York - Coventry - Stratford-Upon-Avon - London
We
travel to Coventry, home of Lady Godiva, to see its two remarkable and contrasting cathedrals. Then we continue to Stratford-upon-Avon to visit
Shakespeare’s birthplace and see Anne Hathaway’s cottage before
a scenic drive through the Cotswolds brings us back to London as
our tour comes to an end. ( Full Breakfast )
