Day
1 - Arrive Athens (2 nights)
After being met at the airport and transferred to
your hotel, there is time to relax or explore. Tonight we enjoy
a Welcome Drink with our Tour Director and fellow travelling
companions

Day 2 - Athens Sightseeing & At Leisure
Our guided morning sightseeing tour delves deep into the
colourful history of Athens. The highlight of the tour, of
course, is the visit to the Parthenon on the Acropolis hill,
which still dominates the modern city of Athens. But we also see
the Agora, the Royal Palace, the Temple of Zeus, Hadrian’s Arch
and the stadium built for the first modern Olympics in 1896.
Later there is free time and this evening maybe dine in one of
the many restaurants found in the lively Plaka area. (Buffet
Breakfast)

Day 3 - Athens - Mycenae - Nauplia
This morning we drive to the bridge across the
breathtakingly narrow Corinth Canal and cross into the
Peloponnese region. Then we visit the remains of the ancient
city of Corinth, en route to Mycenae, to see the Beehive Tombs,
the Treasury of Atreus, the Lion Gate and the remains of
Agamemnon’s Royal Palace. We continue on to the Sanctuary of
Aesculapius, the God of Medicine, to visit the amphitheatre,
before finally arriving in Nauplia. (Buffet Breakfast /
Dinner)

Day 4 - Nauplia - Olympia
Today a delightful drive takes us through the Mountains
of Arcadia to Olympia, where the first Olympic Games were held
in 776 BC. This
evening we enjoy a 'Be My Guest' dinner of authentic cuisine in a Greek Olive farm. (Buffer Breakfast / 'Be My Guest' Dinner) Hotel: Amalia Olympia

Day 5 - Olympia - Patras - Delphi
This morning we stroll around the ancient Olympic stadium and the Temples of Zeus and Hera on our visit of this archaeological site. Next we head north to Patras where we take the modern bridge across the Gulf of Corinth to mainland Greece. Then on to Delphi on the slopes of mighty Mount Parnassos, home of the oracle. Day 6 - Delphi - Thermopylae - Kalambaka
We walk the Sacred Way to the Sanctuary of Apollo and visit this ancient archaeological site. A picturesque early afternoon drive brings us to the Thermopylae, famous for the heroic defense by Leonidas and his brave Spartans against the invading Persians. After seeing the memorial, we cross the fertile Thessaly region, the 'bread basket of ancient Greece' and travel over the Pourmaraki Pass to Lamia and and then on via Trikala to our hotel in Kalambaka.

Day 7 - Kalambaka - Meteora - Athens
We visit two of the monasteries of Meteora, perched high above the town. Then a scenic drive brings us back to the fascinating capital of Greece, Athens. Why not join your travelling companions for a celebration farewell dinner on the final night of your memorable tour together? (Buffet Breakfast)

Day 8 - Depart Athens
This morning we bid farewell to our new-found friends and
Tour Director, as the tour comes to an end. Airport transfers
