| Day 1
London - Salisbury - Stonehenge - Exeter (2 nights) |
| First to Salisbury with the tallest cathedral spire in
Britain. Then to mysterious Stonehenge and on to Exeter, the
county town of Devon which was founded by the Celts and has
a magnificent cathedral. (Dinner)

| Day 2
Exeter - Cornish Excursion |
| We skirt Dartmoor to reach Plymouth where you will have the
chance to take a boat trip around the harbour. Then we
continue to Marazion where we see St. Michael’s Mount before
heading north to the artists’ colony of St. Ives and
returning to Exeter. (Full breakfast) |
| Day 3
Exeter - Bath - Cotswolds |
| We drive to Glastonbury associated with the legend of King
Arthur. Then to Georgian Bath to see the Royal Crescent and
the Roman Baths. (Full breakfast / Dinner) Hotel:

| Day 4 Cotswolds -
Chester (Runcorn) |
| We head north into the Malvern hills to visit Stoke-on-Trent’s
Wedgwood factory. In Chester we visit the ancient Roman
walls and the quaint streets known as the Rows. (Full

| Day 5
Chester (Runcorn) - Edinburgh (Stirling) (2 nights) |
| We drive through the beautiful Lake District to Grasmere,
much loved by William Wordsworth. Crossing the border at
Gretna Green, wedding venue for eloping lovers, we continue
on to our hotel in Stirling. (Full breakfast) Hotel: Holiday Inn Express Stirling |
| Day 6
Edinburgh sightseeing & at leisure |
| We’re off to Edinburgh where sightseeing shows us the
imposing castle and elegant new town. Then you are free to
explore or shop for tartans in Princes Street. (Full
breakfast) |
| Day 7 Edinburgh (Stirling)
- Leeds |
| Today we drive past Jedburgh Abbey in to England and see
Hadrian’s Wall, Northumberland National Park and Durham
Cathedral en route to Viking York. Here we see the Minster
and the narrow cobbled streets or Shambles before continuing
to Leeds. (Full breakfast / Dinner) Hotel:

| Day 8 Leeds -
London |
| This morning we travel past Robin Hood’s Sherwood Forest on
our way to the great university city of Cambridge. Here we
stop to admire the beauty of King’s College and the Backs,
the college gardens which slope down to the River Cam. Then
it’s a short drive to London – time to bid farewell to our
Tour Director and new-found friends as the tour comes to an
end. (Full breakfast) |
