Itinerary
- Day 1 to Day 4
London (4 nights)
The pomp and pageantry of the Royal Horse Guards and the
crazy fashions of Chelsea’s Kings Road make London a city of
marvellous extremes. On the morning of Day 2 you will have
an included excursion to the historic town of Royal Windsor,
with free time to shop or maybe visit the castle. Your
morning sightseeing tour, which is usually on Day 3, will
show you Big Ben, the Houses of Parliament, Westminster
Abbey and Buckingham Palace. Then spend time at leisure to
perhaps walk in Hyde Park, visit Madame Tussauds or take in
a West End stage show. Hotel: The Grosvenor
- Day 5 to Day 7 Paris (3 nights)
We take the Channel ferry from Dover to Calais and drive
across the First World War battlefields, pausing to stop and
view the recently restored Vimy Ridge memorial which
commemorates the many thousands of Canadian soldiers who
died in that war. We then continue on to the beautiful
capital city of Paris. Then the next day our sightseeing
tour will feature the ascent of the Eiffel Tower up to the
second level, followed by a drive along the Champs Élysées
to the Arc de Triomphe and a visit to the Fragonard
Perfumery and Museum. Then you will have time at leisure to
visit the Louvre, shop in the boutiques, explore the Palace
of Versailles or you wish to sample a Parisian cabaret
spectacular. Paris is yours to enjoy!
Hotel: Kyriad Paris Bercy Village
- Day 8 Paris - London
This morning we say ‘au revoir’ to Paris. We travel north
passing through the Somme battlefields with their poignant
reminders of the First World War. Then on to the Opal coast
with remnants of German World War II bunkers to Calais. Here
we board the channel ferry which takes us to England and we
continue into London by coach as our tour comes to an end.
