| Welcome to the
Eternal City of Rome! During the rein of the Roman Empire this was
the most important political and cultural capital and the influence
of this city of our modern day lives is still evident today. After
all it is said that' all roads lead to Rome'! Since the second
century this city has been the seat of the Papacy and the Roman
Catholic religion. After check - in to your hotel, the reminder of
your day is at leisure to relax. Your local representative will meet

Day 2 Rome Sightseeing |
|
Today's highlight is the magnificent Sistine Chapel and St Peters
Basilica. Enjoy an included guide visit with a local expert guide
into the Chapel to admire the ceiling painted by Michelangelo. Later
you will see another of his masterpiece in St Peters - the marble
sculpture, the Pieta. This afternoon cross the Tiber to see the
remains of ancient Rome with views of the Forum, Colosseum and
Circus Maximus. Later time to relax or explore further. Your local
representative will propose various recommended restaurants for you

3 Rome at Leisure |
| After breakfast,
enjoy a full day at leisure to explore or relax in this fabulous
city! Perhaps go shopping down the Via del Corso and stop for a
gelato or visit one of the many museums and attractions on offer.
Your local representative will give you suggestions on excursions

4 Rome - Athens ( 3 Nights ) |
|
Today you will be transferred to the airport in Rome for your flight
to the Greek capital city - Athens. This fascinating city is one of
the worlds oldest with around 3,400 years of recorded history. It is
widely referred to as the cradle of Western civilisation and the
birthplace of democracy. One home to Plato's Academy and Aristotle's
Lyceum, it is still a centre for the arts, philosophy and education
today. After checking in to your hotel you will be met by your local
representative who will discuss the programme in Athens and the
options available to you. Perhaps consider a dinner in the famous

5 Athens Sightseeing |
| This morning you
will be met at the hotel after breakfast by your local expert guide
who will take you on an included sightseeing tour of the city's main
sights. You will also visit the impressive Parthenon on the
Acropolis. This is one of the most important buildings of classical
Greece and many political and social events have taken palace here
over the years. Construction began in the year 447BC before it was
finally known as the protector of the people of Athens. Later time
to relax or explore further. Your representative will suggest some
locations for you to consider for dinner. ( BB ) |

6 Athens at Leisure |
| After breakfast,
enjoy a full day at leisure to do whatever you wish in this fabulous
city! Perhaps consider a day cruise from Piraeus to see some of the
beautiful Greek islands including Poros, Hydra and Aegina. Or why
not consider taking an excursion to Cape Sounion. ( BB ) |

| Day 7 Athens - Cairo ( 3 Nights ) |
| Today you will be transferred to the airport in Athens for your
flight to Cairo - ' The City of a Thousand Minarets'. Upon arrival you
will be met and transferred to your hotel. Cairo is the largest city in
Africa and the Arab World and has a treasure chest of interesting
museums, shopping areas and nightlife. After checking in to your hotel
you will be met by your representative who will discuss the programme in
Cairo and the options available to you. Perhaps consider a traditional

| Day 8 Cairo Sightseeing |
| This morning after breakfast your local expert guide will take you to
the Egyptian Museum, home of King Tutankhamun's priceless treasures
which were discovered by Howard Carter in the Valley of the Kings in
1922. En route you will be shown some of the sights of this bustling
city. This afternoon you will take a drive put of the city to Giza to
marvel at one of the seven Wonders of the Ancient World - The
Great Pyramids of Giza. The Sphinx which casts its enigmatic gaze across
the sands of the desert will also be seen. Your evening will be at

Day 9 Cairo at Leisure |
|
After breakfast, enjoy a full day to do whatever you
wish in. this fascinating city. Cairo offers an incredible selection of
shopping, leisure and nightlife activities. Shopping ranges from the
famous Khan el - Khalili souk, largely unchanged since the 14th century,
to modern air - conditioned malls. Particularly good buys are spices,
perfumes, gold, silver, carpets, brass and copperware, leatherwork,
glass, ceramics and mashrabiya. Your reprensentative will give you
suggestions on excursions which are available for your consideration. (

Day 10 Depart Cairo |
|
This morning it's time to bid farewell to this
unforgettable city and your newfound friends as you are transferred to
the airport for your return flight home. You may wish to extend your
