On April 5, Ukraine International Airlines operated its first direct scheduled flight from Kiev to Almaty. The return UIA flight landed this morning in Kiev’s International Boryspil Airport.
Commencing April 5, 2010 UIA is operating its own regular flights from Kiev to Almaty twice per week – on Mondays and Thursdays, while the flights from Almaty to Kiev are operated on Tuesdays and Fridays. Commencing June 8, 2010 the flight frequency will be increased to three per week – on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays from Kiev, and on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays from Almaty. Flights are operated by UIA`s comfortable Boeing 737 aircraft in two class cabin configuration – Business class and Economy class. Travel time is 5 hours.

The new flights are scheduled to ensure convenient connections both with UIA’s international flights from Kiev to Paris, Amsterdam, Vienna, Frankfurt, London, Zurich, Rome, Berlin, Lisbon, Milan, Tel-Aviv, and with the UIA domestic flights to Donetsk, Lvov, Odessa and Simferopol. Passengers arriving at Almaty will be able to use connections with the flights to Urumqi (China) and the cities of Kazakhstan – Astana, Kyzylorda, Aktau, Kostanay and Kokshetau. |
