New Regulation for Tourists Traveling to Libya

As informed by Libyan Civil Aviation Authority, effective today all tourism passengers arriving in Tripoli International Airport must carry with them USD$1000 in cash, or equivalent in other currencies. Exceptions are: Tunisian and Egyptian nationals.

Please ensure all Emirates passengers traveling to Libya on tourism visas are informed of the new requirement.

Passengers arriving Tripoli, short of this amount would be deported by the authority, and the fine levied by the Authority would be charged back to the passenger.
