Air India Singapore Implements E-ticketing

We are pleased to announce that all Air India flights to/from Singapore will be e-ticket enabled, effective 31 March, 2008.  While between 01 – 15 April08 both physical and e-tickets stocks will be available for issuance of Air India tickets, with effect from 16thApril 08, the physical stocks will be completely withdrawn.
 
We request that e-ticketing be implemented for passengers traveling on Air India. Please note that currently the FORM OF IDENTIFICATION (FOID) is required for all Air India validated e-tickets. For international travel, Passport or Photo Credit Card are the approved/acceptable forms of identification (FOID).
 
When an e-ticket is issued, the passenger should be given an itinerary receipt together with other important notices. This itinerary receipt, along with valid photo identity card, can be used to enter the airport for check-in.
 
Air India has introduced the facility of e-ticketing for travel on large part of its network. All online stations on domestic network (except Lucknow) and international network (except Seoul and Birmingham) are e-ticket eligible board-points:

India: Mumbai (BOM), Delhi (DEL), Bangalore (BLR), Hyderabad (HYD), Amritsar (ATQ), Chennai (MAA), Kolkata (CCU), Ahmedabad (AMD), Thiruvananthapuram (TRV), Kochi (COK), and Kozhikode (CCJ).
USA & Canada: Chicago (ORD), Los Angeles (LAX), New Jersey (EWR), New York (JFK) and Toronto (YYZ).
UK: London (LHR)
Europe: Paris (CDG), Frankfurt (FRA)
Asia Pacific: Bangkok (BKK), Hong Kong (HKG), Jakarta (CGK), Kuala Lumpur (KUL), Osaka (KIX), Shanghai (PVG) and Tokyo (NRT), Singapore (SIN) & Dhaka (DAC)
Gulf & Middle East: Abu Dhabi (AUH), Dammam (DMM), Dubai (DXB), Jeddah (JED), Kuwait (KWI) and Riyadh (RUH)
Africa: Dar-es-Salaam (DAR) and Nairobi (NBO)
Air India has implemented e-ticketing facility with 9 Global Distribution Systems (GDS), viz  Amadeus, Abacus, Galileo, Apollo, Worldspan, Sabre, Infini, Topas, Axess. Travel agents can use these GDS’ to issue e-tickets on Air India flights.
 
Air India has implemented Interline e-ticketing (IET) agreements with 53 interline carriers and more carriers are in the pipeline. Interline E-Ticketing enables a passenger to use a single e-Ticket when their itineraries include flights on one or more airlines.
